Improvisation, as it is generally understood in Jazz and Modern Music, consists in creating a melody suitable for a given chord progression. That part of the melody corresponding to each chord or group of chords is composed, in most cases, by notes belonging to a certain scale related to the chords.

IMPROCHART is an Improvisation Chart that allows us to automatically obtain all the scales related to a given chord. 10 basic chord types are considered, along with their different tensions. A complete set of scales has been considered as well, where Bebop, Pentatonic and Blues scales are not excluded. Moreover, a practical Scale table containing all the scales in all keys is also given.
